What Type Of People Did They Work For And What Did They Do?
Who Did They Work For: The slaves from ancient china worked for a variety of people. some of them worked for the government. Others served their master, the noble that had bought them at a slave marked. All of these people that the slaves worked for were not entirely nice towards the slaves and didn't care much about them but compared to the slaves that had to work for the all mighty emperor had the hardest and most unpleasant time than any of the other slaves. The emperor had at least 10,000 slaves to do his bidding and these tens of thousand of slaves didn't just serve him in the living word but were buried with the emperor when he died away and were expected to also serve him in the afterlife.
What Work Did They Do: Some of the slavesworked alongside the peasants in the farms growing barley, rice, millet, wheat, vegetables such as snow peas, fruit such as lychees. They also grew hemps which is a type of leaf, to make clothing and ropes. Some of the unlucky slaves had to go and work on The Great Wall Of China and like most of the other workers on the Great Wall never came back and died while working on the wall that is very famous today.The slaves that worked for a noble of the emperor would do all of the house woke like cleaning the floors and the clothes, serving and cooking all the food, and sometimes some of the girl slaves were trained to perform and entertain their master. These slaves that performed were the more valuable and expensive than the others and so had a marginally better life.
